Summer Reading 2024

Designed for all ages, iREAD’s summer reading program features the idea of conservation! Conservation as a movement focuses on protecting species from extinction, maintaining and restoring habitats, enhancing ecosystem services, and protecting biological diversity. iREAD 2024: Read, Renew, Repeat makes for a wonderfully diverse summer reading program that encourages reading as a restorative method of self-improvement and self-preservation.
Read
Not only is reading good for us and academically required, reading is pleasurable. Reading as a restorative method of self-conservation and self-care is a focus for all ages of our program this summer.
Renew
Also in the 21st century, common humanity is experiencing many ecological uncertainties and challenges. The renewal portion is to bring awareness to the many ways anyone of any age can participate in the conservation movement to help protect species from extinction, maintain and restore habitats, enhance ecosystem services, and help protect biological diversity. We hope to bring awareness to people in communities all over the world.
Repeat
Read and renew again and again!

Young readers participating in our summer reading program will be able to earn rewards for meeting reading goals. They'll also have the chance to win a grand prize at the end of summer, and can earn more raffle tickets by attending library programs!
Teens participating in our summer reading program will be able to earn rewards for meeting reading goals. They'll also have the chance to win a grand prize at the end of summer, and can earn more raffle tickets by attending library programs.
We will also have a summer reading book club.

Adults participating in summer reading will fill out a bingo card full of book prompts and other simple challenges. Each complete bingo earns a ticket for a prize, more rows=more tickets!
